Honoré speaks at Black History Month

The Citadel will celebrate Black History Month with two events, the annual Black History Month Bazaar and a Greater Issues address by Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré, U.S. Army (Ret.). Honoré, who commanded Joint Task Force Katrina in the wake of the devastation caused by the hurricane in New Orleans, will give two talks in Charleston. He will speak at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 8, at Burke High School Auditorium. At 11 a.m., Feb. 9, in McAlister Field House at The Citadel, he will give a speech on importance of understanding cultural diversity as a principled leader as part of the Greater Issues series.
