Employees flocked to the annual holiday drop-in Tuesday afternoon at Quarters One hosted by Citadel President Lt. Gen. John Rosa and his wife Donna. With cadets on winter furlough and the semester winding down, it was a great opportunity for employees to get together. Santa Claus was even able to attend despite the pressures of the season.

Cadets Napolean Dunn of Alpha Company and Nathanael Newton of Tango Company help prep care packages for cadets who have left school due to military service. The Citadel Family Association spearheaded the effort. The 15 care packages contain toiletry and sundry items, snacks, DVDs, books and magazines, and letters and cards from Gov. Mark Sanford and his family, and students and teachers at the Pat Butler Elementary School in Paso Robles, Calif., and the 10th Street School in Oakmont, Pa.

Cadets from the Protestant, Catholic, Gospel Choirs, Chorale, Women's Ensemble and members of The Citadel Regimental Band took part in the annual holiday service.
