A highlight of Homecoming each year is alumni march onto the football field before the start of the game, a reminder of their days as cadets, who also march onto the field before each home game.








The Citadel's Navy ROTC unit celebrated the U.S. Navy’s 232nd birthday on Oct. 12 at Toucan Reef in downtown Charleston. Guest speaker was retired Rear Admiral James H. Flatley III. Afterward Col. Kevin Frederick, commanding officer of the ROTC unit, presented Flatley with a framed photograph of Padgett-Thomas Barracks.

The count down is nearly over - on Friday the Class of 2008 will receive their senior rings. The ring presentation is one of many activities that are part of the annual Parents’ Weekend celebration at The Citadel. Among the highlights are the Class of 2011 promotion to cadet privates, concerts, drill competitions and, of course, football.

Air Force cadets competed in several competitions, including touch football, pushups and sit-ups, and tug of war. The sophomore class was the winner of the overall competition.
