The Semper Fi Society at The Citadel Naval ROTC detachment collected more than 3,000 cans of food and non-perishable food items for Crisis Ministries in Charleston. The food will provide Thanksgiving meals to the homeless and needy this year. Crisis Ministries said it is the largest food donation ever made to the organization.

A Thanksgiving tradition for the Corps of Cadets, knobs make hats for upperclass cadets that reflect their personalities, leadership, aspirations or accomplishments and present them at the annual Thanksgiving meal before the Corps goes on furlough, which began today. Citadel cadets have several uniforms that they wear, but according to Knob Knowledge, the practice of wearing gray uniforms is based on regulations established by the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
