The College of Graduate and Professional Studies holds commencement at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1 in McAlister Field House. Commencement for the South Carolina Corps of Cadets is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, also in McAlister Field House.

The Employee of the Year award winner and several employees who will retire this year were honored by the South Carolina Corps of Cadets at the April 22 dress parade.

Cadet Patrick Howell and children from Sullivan's Island Elementary School look on after they launch a model rocket on Summerall Field. The Physics Department has been hosting the rocket day event for school children since 1990.
ROTC cadets meet Air Force chief of staff

Cadets from the college's Air Force ROTC detachment visited Washington D.C. March 9 and 10 and had the opportunity to meet and talk with Air Force Chief of Staff General John P. Jumper (in dark blue, right) while on a warrior run around the National Mall.

Honorary Regimental Commander Sidney Tinsley took review in the arms of the president at last Friday's parade honoring retiring commandant BG Emory Mace. Sidney was granted his wish to be a cadet for a day by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
