Ferguson, vice chairman of the Federal Reserve, gave a positive forecast for the economy: "With steady contributions from business investment, GDP growth is likely to continue expanding at a good pace, leading to further job gains and increases in family incomes."

Linda Mitchell, an Aramark employee at The Citadel for more than 30 years, is surprised by TV news anchor Bill Sharpe as she is inducted into the Channel 5 Hall of Fame. A story about Mitchell will air at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at noon Tuesday, Oct. 12 and at 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17. Last year, George Ellington of Cadet Activities was inducted.

Carl Smalls (front) and Nathaniel Colleton (back) of the Paint Shop help stir up school spirit by painting Citadel blue dawg paws on Hagood Avenue near the football stadium. The annual painting of the paws coincides with the football season's first home game, which the Bulldogs won 29-0 against Benedict College.

Steven Good, CEO and chairman of the Chicago-based Sheldon Good and Co. Auctions, LLC, the nation's largest real estate auction firm, answers cadets' question following his guest lecture in the School of Business entrepreneurship class this week. Good's firm conducted an auction for Trump of his Trump Plaza of the Palm Beaches.
