The School of Business Administration held the fourth annual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet April 19. This year’s Leaders of Principle Awards were presented to Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr., Edward T. Pendarvis and W. Hayne Hipp. Sallie L. Krawcheck was awarded the Alvah H. Chapman Jr. Award.

The modern languages department announced today that the seventh German major or minor to claim a Fulbright grant since 2002 has been selected. Cadet Andrew Raynor Jones, a senior from Aiken, S.C., will study next year at Marburg University in Marburg, Germany.

A memorial service for The Citadel family will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 9 in Summerall Chapel in honor of Cadet Payson Dana of Darlington. Cadet Dana died as a result of an accident while at home on spring break.

Citadel Marines presented a check for $83,000 to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund following Saturday's completion of the Cooper River Bridge Run. A day later $2,000 more in donations came in and the donations continue. Today they hit the $90,000 mark.
