Maj. Gen. John Grinalds attended his final commencement as president of The Citadel Saturday, accepting an honorary doctorate of humane letters. Four others - Congressman J. Gresham Barrett, ’83, Judge Clarence Tolbert Goolsby Jr., ’59, attorney James Hodges Harrison, ’73, and retired Brig. Gen. Roger Clifton Poole, ’59, also received honorary degrees.
